AF Bio Sand

AF Bio Sand is a natural white sand derived from the highest-quality deposits. It is free of contaminants, and its calcium carbonate content helps stabilize water chemistry. AF Bio Sand's latest technology significantly accelerates the aquarium maturation process and allows for faster addition of animals to a newly established tank. The included bottles contain laboratory-isolated strains of nitrifying bacteria and a nutrient that promotes their growth and reproduction. The product's specialized formula ensures the nitrogen cycle is closed and harmful chemicals are eliminated much faster than with traditional substrates. AF Bio Sand's exceptionally easy use allows for instant preparation of the sand for aquarium use. Thanks to its extremely wide range of applications, AF Bio Sand also works perfectly in mature tanks as a substrate supplement. The sand's granulation is 0.5-1.5 mm.

Preparation: Some sand residue will leak during transport and is perfectly safe for your aquarium. However, to avoid clouding the water, we strongly recommend rinsing the sand in osmosis water before use. Pour the contents of both bottles into 3 liters of salt water, mix thoroughly, add to the bag of sand, and let it soak for 24 hours. To allow the bacteria to multiply, leave the bag unclosed. Storing in cool places is not recommended, as it significantly increases the time for bacterial multiplication. The optimal maturation temperature for sand is approximately 25-28°C (77-82°F). After 24 hours, the sand is ready for use in the aquarium. Gradually add the sand to the tank (small amounts each day) and monitor the changes in parameters.
