AF Phosphate Minus

An effective medium for fluidizing filters. Excessive food and supplements can cause excessively high phosphate levels. Thanks to its unique Phosphate Minus technology, it effectively reduces phosphate and silicate levels in marine aquariums. Its adsorbent properties allow it to bind large amounts of phosphate without negatively affecting aquarium inhabitants. Phosphate Minus is highly recommended for both new and mature aquariums. In newly set-up aquariums, it prevents the occurrence of elevated phosphate levels, and in older aquariums, it reduces PO4 levels and stabilizes water chemistry. By maintaining the biological balance in the tank, it prevents the formation of unwanted green algae and the development of cyanobacteria.

Dosage: 25-100 ml per 100 L of water. Phosphate Minus should be placed in media reactors with a recommended water flow of at least 400 L/hour. It is also suitable for passive use in filter bags. Phosphate Minus should be replaced every 4 weeks or if phosphate levels in the water significantly increase. Shortly after introduction into a filtration system, the product may slightly discolor the water. Although Phosphate Minus does not need to be rinsed out before use, the brown powder is an active phosphate remover and is completely harmless to aquatic life. The brown color of the water disappears after a short time. Rinsing the product in RODI water reduces its effectiveness.
