Distribution and Habitat: Widespread in the eastern Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean, reaching the coasts of India and Taiwan in the north and as far as northern Australia. It is also present in Malaysia , Indonesia , and the Philippines.
It frequents the calm waters of coral reefs and is particularly common in the lagoons of atolls. Temperature: 25° / 27 °C; density 1024.
Diet: omnivorous, prefers frozen food, artemia or bloodworms and mysis , or freeze-dried or dry in small diameter granules.
