Bio Rio G is a sintered glass filter media suitable for biological filtration. Because it is porous and has a relatively large surface area, many microorganisms settle, demonstrating high filtration performance. The pieces are irregular, so when a filter is filled, gaps form, making it unlikely to cause clogging. Because it is unlikely to affect water conditions such as pH and water hardness, stable long-term filtration is possible.
