Blyxa japonica originates from the shallow, nutrient-rich pools, swamps, and slow-flowing rivers of East and Southeast Asia. The plant gained fame thanks to the late Takashi Amano and his aquarium work in the 1990s. Blyxa has a distinct, grass-like appearance that moves easily in the circulating aquarium water, creating a sense of dynamism compared to other, more robust plants. The in vitro format guarantees the complete absence of any parasites or invertebrate pests.
