Bolbitis hails from West Africa and is a fern with beautiful, transparent green leaves, 15–40 cm tall and wide. When planting, do not cover the rhizome, as it will rot. It is best to plant Bolbitis heudelotii on a root ball or stone. It is easy to propagate by dividing the rhizome horizontally. Growth can be significantly increased by adding CO2, and it thrives only in soft, slightly acidic water.
