Bring a natural riverbed feel to your aquarium with Cimarron Sand. Made from natural, earthy sand with a higher grain blend, this cosmetic sand provides a textured, complex foundation for your aquatic landscape.

You can use it alone for a simple yet striking look, or mix it with our other cosmetic sands to create your own custom blend. Experiment with different amounts and textures to achieve the look you want.

Usage:

• Pre-washed: Ready to use, although an additional rinse may be required to ensure cleanliness.
• Sand placement: Spread the sand evenly along the bottom of the empty tank or terrarium. Pour the sand gently from a low height to avoid scratching the aquarium glass.
• Standalone or Mixed: Use alone for a warm, natural base, or combine with other WIO sands and gravels for a custom substrate look.
• Decorate and plant: Arrange rocks, driftwood, and plants to create a harmonious and appealing environment.
• Filling the tank: Pour water carefully, avoiding direct flow onto the sand.
• Pro tip: Pour water on a plate or piece of furniture to minimize disruption.
• Finishing touch: Use a mesh to skim off any floating particles, then turn on the filter and watch any remaining cloudiness disappear within a few hours, leaving a clear, natural finish.
• Easy maintenance: Regularly, for example, with each water change, gently vacuum the sand to remove any accumulated debris or algae.
