The Exo Terra Glow Light offers the versatility of positioning heat and/or light sources in your terrarium wherever needed. The device is robustly constructed, with a metal reflector, a heat-resistant ceramic socket, and a spring-loaded swivel clamp. It can be easily turned on and off using the switch mounted on the extra-long power cord. The inside of the reflector is coated with a highly reflective luminous coating that continues to glow long after the lamp has been turned off. This allows diurnal reptiles and amphibians to retreat to their nighttime burrows or hideout without stress. A moon-like glow allows nocturnal reptiles and amphibians to see properly without disrupting their nighttime cycle. It's also ideal for monitoring your animals at night, without turning on lights that can cause stress and disorientation.
This multipurpose fixture fits a variety of screw-in bulbs; daylight heat lamp, intense spot, daylight spot, halogen spot, natural light, reptile UVB100, UVB150 and UVB200, infrared spot, solar Glo 80W, etc.
The coating reflects otherwise wasted light rays and stores light energy during the day and slowly releases it at night, making this fixture more energy efficient than conventional fixtures. There's no need to add an additional nightlight bulb unless it's used as a heating source.
One or more Exo Terra Glow Lights can be mounted on the edge of the terrarium or aquarium and directed to the relief area with the spring-loaded swivel clamp, or can be placed on top of a metal screen cover in any desired position.
