The Exo Terra® Humidifier generates a cool mist through ultrasonic oscillations that simulates low clouds and fog in tropical terrariums or morning dew in desert terrariums. This ultrasonic humidifier mist generator with adjustable mist output and a 4.5 L (1.2 gal) reservoir is powerful enough to increase the humidity of multiple terrariums up to 100% RH. Designed for installation outside the terrarium, its slim design allows it to fit into any terrarium cabinet. Equipped with a durable, flexible 120 cm (48″) hose and multiple fittings, the humidifier is suitable for various terrarium types and powerful enough to split the hose to humidify two terrariums (or more with the optional humidifier extension kit). The humidifier has an LED indicator that lights green when there is enough water in the reservoir, flashes red-green when the water level is low, and red when the reservoir is empty. The humidifier automatically shuts off when the water level drops below the minimum and restarts once the water is replenished. The removable lid makes it easy to refill water even while the humidifier is running. With its 4.5 L (1.2 gal) tank, the humidifier runs for up to 20 hours per full capacity, while a reduced mist output will extend the run time proportionally. The humidifier is ideal for use with the Exo Terra® Thermostat and Hygrostat (PT2464), so you can set specific humidity levels for both day and night.

Just like a proper diet, correct temperature ranges, UVB lighting, and various other factors, providing the right relative humidity is vital for the proper care and maintenance of reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates. Adequate humidity levels aid the shedding process and help prevent respiratory problems. Increasing relative humidity levels after a slightly drier period can also stimulate reproductive behavior in many species.

To maintain adequate humidity in a well-ventilated terrarium, you'll need to use a misting device or humidifier. Misting or spraying is great for providing water droplets like drinking water, but it will only increase relative humidity for a short time. The Exo Terra Ultrasonic Humidifier is ideal for increasing humidity levels and creating a naturally misty, humid environment.

Ideal for animals that require higher humidity, such as some geckos, chameleons, iguanas, water dragons, frogs, toads, some turtles, some snakes (such as green pythons, emerald greens, and other boas), and many other species of reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates.
