The Infrared Basking Spot emits infrared heat waves and is therefore a specially designed heating bulb. The spot lamp has a special reflector inside to direct the heat in any direction needed. The red glass transmits the infrared waves produced by the bulb's special filament. The reddish light will not interrupt normal activity during the day or night, making it an excellent 24-hour heat source. The spot allows you to direct the heat to create a temperature gradient in the terrarium.
