The most highly concentrated solution for increasing carbonate hardness in marine aquariums. KH Plus was created to counteract sudden drops in carbonate hardness and restore ionic balance in the aquarium. Proper carbonate ion levels are essential for healthy coral growth and skeleton development. The presence of carbonate ions helps maintain a stable pH level.
Dosage
10 ml of KH Plus solution increases carbonate hardness by 0.5 dKH in 100 L of water. The maximum daily dose is 10 ml per 100 L of water. The carbonate hardness in a reef aquarium should be approximately 6.5-8.5 dKH. Do not increase dKH more than 0.5 dKH every 24 hours. Ensure your magnesium levels are within the recommended range before attempting to increase or adjust calcium and alkalinity levels. Remember that the maximum safe daily dose is 10 ml per 100 L of water. If you need a higher dose, divide it over a few days.
