The Exo Terra Light Bracket is designed to securely suspend a dome or wire fixture above an Exo Terra Natural Terrarium or any other glass terrarium. The Exo Terra Light Bracket easily adjusts in height to accommodate most fixture types or to adjust the heat/light to suit your terrarium conditions. Once the bracket and fixture are installed, bulbs (such as track lights, Solar Glo, etc.) are no longer subject to movement, resulting in a longer lifespan.

Installation and use:

Glass Surface Preparation: The surface temperature for application should be no lower than 60°F (16°C) and no higher than 85°F (29°C). If the climate does not permit, move the unit to appropriate conditions. The area to receive the tape should first be thoroughly cleaned with a liquid detergent and warm water solution. Rinse with clean water and dry completely. A final 50/50 alcohol/water wipe is highly recommended for best results (use a clean, lint-free cloth). Make sure the surface is dry and free of residue before proceeding. Note: The position of the adhesive backing cannot be changed once it has been affixed.

Loosen the screw on the back of the adhesive backing base and remove the light bracket from the adhesive backing base.

With the protective backing still intact, place the adhesive backing base on the back or side of the terrarium to determine its final position and mark the location with a wax crayon or other marker.

Remove the protective backing and carefully attach the adhesive backing base inside the marked area.

Press the tape firmly and evenly against the glass panel, rotating gently, to ensure proper adhesion. Make sure there are no air bubbles. Let the light bracket rest on the terrarium mesh for 24 hours to allow the tape to cure properly before the dome is suspended and the weight of the dome can apply pressure to the adhesive backing. Once in place, the adhesive backing must not be removed!

Allow the tape to cure for 24 hours before inserting the bracket into the adhesive mount base or suspending any device on the bracket.

After 24 hours, insert the bracket into the adhesive backing base, adjust to the desired height and tighten the screw.

Remove the first rubber washer, slide the fixture holder ring onto the light bracket shaft, then replace the first rubber to securely fit the fixture holder between the two rubber stoppers.

Adjust the position of the appliance by moving the rubber washers.

Adjust the height and tighten the screw of the adhesive support base when the dome frame is suspended above the terrarium at the desired height.

Make sure the focal point of the light is not positioned above the plastic parts of the terrarium or screen cover to avoid damage.

INSTALL THE LIGHT AFTER 24 HOURS TO ALLOW THE TAPE TO CURE PROPERLY

NOTE: FAILURE OF THE TAPE TO ATTACH PROPERLY CAN BE ATTRIBUTED TO ONE OF FOUR PROBLEMS:

Poor surface preparation and/or application.

Poor adhesive contact: Exposed adhesive side of the tape that is touched or contaminated.

Insufficient pressure is applied.

Lamp hung too early, tape not fully hardened.
