Macodes Petola, also known as Jewel Orchid, is a perennial indoor plant native to tropical Asia and a member of the Orchidaceae family. It is a modest-sized evergreen, growing no taller than 30 centimeters. It features fleshy stems bearing large, velvety, elliptical leaves that are dark green with golden and reddish hues. Flowering occurs in autumn and winter, when slender stems bearing inconspicuous flowers with white-pink petals emerge. This plant is highly prized for its beautiful foliage, making it suitable for decorating any indoor space. It requires mild temperatures that don't drop below 15 degrees Celsius and moderate humidity. It is perfect for terrariums with or without pets.
