The most concentrated formula for increasing magnesium levels in marine aquariums. Mg Plus is designed to address deficiencies and sudden drops in magnesium levels. Magnesium is essential for healthy, balanced coral growth. Appropriate magnesium levels in the tank water improve calcium absorption for corals. Low magnesium levels can result in the inability to maintain adequate calcium levels and a lowered pH. The recommended magnesium level for reef aquariums is 1180–1460 mg/L.
Dosage
10 ml of Mg Plus increases magnesium levels by 10 mg/L in 100 L of water. Dosage should be determined based on water tests and daily coral consumption. Remember that the maximum safe daily dose is 100 ml per 100 L of water. If you need a higher dose, divide it over a few days. Before applying Mg Plus, it is recommended to test the magnesium levels in the water. It is not recommended to increase magnesium levels by more than 100 ppm per day. Make sure your magnesium levels are within the recommended range before attempting to increase or adjust calcium and alkalinity levels.
