The Pro Paludarium™ features an extra deep, waterproof base, making it ideal for creating diverse habitats such as rainforests, swamps or riverside environments. This versatile design supports both aquatic and terrestrial species, accommodating a wide range of plants and animals. The convenient integrated bottom drainage system greatly facilitates the removal of excess water or weekly water changes.

The living space of a Paludarium consists of 3 distinct zones:

Terrestrial Zone

The terrestrial zone is a land area with plants, trees, bushes and rocks that never submerges. In tropical climates a variety of invertebrates, reptiles and amphibians occur here.

Riparian Zone

The riparian or shoreline zone is the interface between land and water. It is inhabited by semi-aquatic invertebrates, reptiles and amphibians.

Aquatic Zone

The aquatic zone can be a stream, pond or even a lake, housing turtles, aquatic amphibians, fish and freshwater shrimp.

The extra space will allow you to create different micro-habitats within the terrarium, including different temperature gradients, humidity levels, and hiding spots.

The front opening door features a spring-loaded push latch, making accessibility both smooth and simple. The integrated lock is designed to prevent accidental door openings, ensuring the security of your animals.

Its concealed ventilation maintains a clean aesthetic, infusing the terrarium with an elegant touch. Beyond aesthetics, this terrarium offers an advanced, adjustable three-level airflow system, giving you precise control over the environment. The patented forced vertical airflow is engineered to effectively prevent condensation, ensuring clear views and a healthier habitat. The improved air circulation is crucial for the respiratory health of reptiles and amphibians. The integrated dirt collector catches any dust or sand escaping through the vent holes, ensuring a mess-free environment.

One of the standout features is the patented locking mechanism in the frame for the removable top, which, along with the front-opening doors, makes maintenance significantly more convenient. On top, at the back of the terrarium, there are multiple auto-closing inlets for wires or tubing. Inside, gutters have been thoughtfully included for effective tube management, and specific attachment points for nozzles facilitate the setup of an automatic misting system. The Exo Terra® Pro Paludarium™ comes with a convenient bottom drainage system, greatly facilitating the removal of excess water and weekly water changes. The bottom of the terrarium is waterproof once the tubing, elbow connector, and tap valve are connected to the drain.
