The Exo Terra Reptile UVB150 has very high UVB output, similar to desert sunlight. These places receive more direct sunlight, so desert reptiles are more exposed to UV radiation than any other reptile. This bulb can also be used in terrariums with denser screens to ensure sufficient UVB penetration. Dense screens can filter up to 50% of UVB rays. The high vitamin D3 yield ensures photosynthesis of vitamin D3 to aid calcium absorption and prevent metabolic diseases.
The light and UV radiation in compact fluorescent bulbs decrease over time. Changing your terrarium bulbs annually ensures optimal lighting conditions to keep your reptiles healthy.
