Description
Striped Wood is an exceptional hardscape material, highly sought after due to its scarcity and unique texture. Its thicker base area is complemented by flowing branches, allowing for new and innovative ryoboku-style wood formations.
Striped wood pieces can range from small to medium in size, and can even be incredibly bulky, making it suitable for a wide range of habitat configurations. Being a heavy wood, it's ideal for aquascaping and biotope aquariums, providing stability and structure to your projects.

This means you can enjoy crystal-clear water right from the start, as nature has already completed the maturation process for you by removing the tannins. Most driftwood is buoyant and needs to be soaked for about a month to absorb water and sink. During initial installation, use rocks, anchors, wood ties, or other methods to temporarily submerge the wood until it is completely submerged.
Saprolegnia, a white, fungus-like growth, may appear on the wood during the initial stage. If it occurs, scrape it off and vacuum it frequently with a small hose. It should disappear naturally within a month of initial installation.
Driftwood can cause a decrease in the water's pH level. It is recommended to maintain a minimum kH of 3 to create a buffering effect and monitor the pH level regularly.
By following these instructions for use, you can ensure a safe and healthy environment for the inhabitants of your aquarium, paludarium, or terrarium, while enjoying the natural beauty that wood offers.
